Wooden Pentagram Mortar and Pestle
This mortar and pestle is hand carved out of mango wood and the mortar features three engraved pentagrams spread evenly around it's exterior. This mortar is approximately 9cm in diameter at the top and 9.5cm high.
Mortar and pestles are a tool used for crushing and grinding up foods, herbs and seeds making them perfect for mixing herbal and mystical remedies. You should use a different mortar and pestle for edible and non edible mixtures.
Pentagram Symbolism:
The upright pentacle is an ancient symbol and has been used in a range of religions throughout time. When enclosed in a circle the five point star becomes a pentagram. One of the points always faces up and this point represents spirit or divinity the other four points represent the four elements earth, fire, air and water. The pentagram is a protective symbol used to banish and ward off evil.
