Wormwood is burned in incense designed to aid in developing psychic powers and can also be worn in a mojo bag for this purpose. When carried in a mojo bag wormwood protects against bewitchment, hand from a rear view mirror to to protect a vehicle from accidents on the treacherous roads. Wormwood is also mixed with sandalwood and burned to summon spirits. According to old grimoires if burned in a cemetery the spirits will rise and speak.
