Mala Necklaces
Malas are a string of 108 beads used in meditation practice. They can be used as a tool to count mantras or as a meditation piece to sit with in silence.
In Hinduism, the number 108 has long been considered sacred and there are many varied reasons why a mala is thought to have 108 beads. Some believe the number 108 relates to the chakras and energy connection points in your body, others believe it to be the representation of the masculine and feminine and still others find a connection to God, completeness and the infinity symbol. There are also many varied references to the number 108 throughout spiritual practices such as Hinduism and Buddhism and also within astrology.
Regardless of the meaning of 108, should you use your mala beads to count mantras you should do so with reverence, devotion, feeling and full attention.
All of our stunning mala necklaces receive a Shamanic medicine drum and crystal grid activation before being shipped to their new home.
