High John The Conqueror Incense Powder Self-Lighting 20 gram
High John was an African prince who was captured and sold into slavery in America. He was known to be a hard worker, but also a trickster, constantly outwitting his master. Throughout his enslavement, his spirit was never broken and so, High John the Conqueror is a symbol of the history of the slave movement and the indomitable spirit of the African American peoples.
High John the Conqueror is a very well known and reputable plant used widely throughout Folk Magick and African-American traditions. It is prized as a talisman to bring luck, money, love and success to those who carry it on their person. Gamblers are known to use this root by boiling it in water and using the resulting infusion as a hand wash prior to going to the casino.
This High John incense powder is self-lighting and easy to use. It is a natural burning powder which has been infused with High John essential oils and small quantities of powdered root. Place a small portion of this powder into a heat proof bowl or cauldron and carefully light it with a match or lighter. It will spark and smoulder, causing a scented smoke to be released. The powder could also be used in sachet, mojo or spell bags or sprinkled around your property.
