Clays, minerals, salts and dirt form a powerful cornerstone of magick and are often used to represent the element of Earth.  Magickal salts can be used in a variety of magick including banishing, protection and clearing and clays can be used to bind.  Dirt and minerals are steeped in folklore and magick, from dirt taken from crossroads and graveyards, to minerals such as sulphur which pack a powerful magickal punch.
