Rainbow Tree is a children's book written with the intention to help children connect to the earth, themselves and others. Within the story they learn the four seasons, four directions, colours of the rainbow, plus a guided visualisation meditation to connect with the sky and earth along with basic life lessons like patience, purpose, strength, courage, compassion, kindness, guidance and intuition. Included at the end is a guided visualisation meditation that they learn for protection.
The characters in the book are four Australian animals who learn to live together as a tribe, away from separation. Rainbow Tree is a lot of fun, easy and practical for teachers and parents to read with their children. Based on the teachings of the Medicine Wheel this is a great way to engage children into a deeper connection with the seasons around them.
Meet the Maker:
Jade Weatherill is a highly creative and intuitive visionary trained in Visual Arts (BA vis art) and Graphic Design (adv. dip. graphic design). She has worked for years in the sign writing industry, desktop publishing for government agencies and marketing material and websites for small business. In 2016 she wrote, illustrated and published her first children's book 'Rainbow Tree'.
"Rainbow Tree came to me in a vision in August 2016. The idea was so strong I awoke from bed to write it down. Within a month I had written and illustrated the book. I knew I had to get it out, not to waste time. I love sharing this story at festivals and markets to children, but also many adults have said they have bought it for their own inner child also. The medicine that came through while writing this book, (colour meditation) I now use for myself. It is a very powerful book to help bring about change to the world. I first learned about the Australian Medicine Wheel in 2011, trained under Dr. Rafael Locke - National Director, SOTEMS. I have used it several times since as a tool in my life. My message from spirit when writing this book, was to share it and educate kids so they to can connect to nature and truth."

Review from The Sacred Willow -
This children's book is a wonderful way to engage children with the teachings of the Medicine Wheel. The Australian animals are simple for kids to understand and make it relevant to spirituality in Australia. I loved the messages of inclusion and acceptance throughout the book and the story of how the animals can all live peacefully together is beautifully done. A sweet addition to your child's library, the visual meditation is also calming and a lovely way to finish the story, particularly if you are reading the book before bedtime. Congratulations Jade on the publication of your first book!
