Handmade locally on the Sunshine Coast, this one of a kind medicine pouch has been hand stitched and accented with a snowflake obsidian pi stone.    

Medicine bags, or pouches, are designed to carry sacred objects such as herbs, crystals, bones or anything that a person finds sacred to them.  These objects are believed to be of significant spiritual value to the holder of the medicine pouch.  Typically worn as a drawstring pouch around the neck, medicine bags can also be larger wrapped pouches that can holder bigger objects such as rattles.  Pouches such as these can also be kept under a pillow and slept on.  A medicine pouch and it's contents are considered sacred, and as such should not touch the ground.
