This wood is a sweet smelling smudge stick known as holy wood which is believed to be a physical and spiritual purification tool.

These sticks are lit on the end and when blown out will continue to smolder for several minutes.

Smudging is the sacred art of burning sage and similar herbs to create a purifying vapor that can be used to remove negative energies from individuals and places.
